이민 1세대가 모국어가 아닌 다른 언어로 말씀을 전하는 것은 많은 노력과 시간이 필요합니다. 하지만 이러한 시간을 통해서 주님과 그리고 다양한 민족의 사람들과 오늘도 대화를 나누고 있습니다.
그리고 이러한 시간을 허락하신 주님께 감사 드립니다. 앞으로도 더 많은 그리스도인들이 귀한 하나님의 말씀을 다양한 민족들에게 가르치고 전하기를 원합니다. 더 능력 있고 귀한 형제 자매들이 이러한 사역에 함께 하기를 바랍니다.

Also God appointed many of his early believers as apostles. To become an Apostle is a gift. The word comes from the Greek word, apostolos, which means“to be sent : be commissioned or sent forth).”The word, Apostle has the same meaning as missionary, which originally comes from the Latin word, mitto, which also means“to be sent.”All believers of Christ become apostles and missionaries, because they are sent to do the work of God.
또한 하나님께서는 초대 교인들에게 사도의 직분을 주셨습니다. 사도가 되는 것도 은사 중에 하나입니다. 이 단어는 그리스어인 “아포스톨로스”에서 나왔는데 원래 의미는 “보냄을 받은 자”라는 의미입니다. 사도라는 단어는 또한 선교사(missionary)와 같은 의미입니다. 영어 missionary는 라틴어 “미토”에서 나왔는데 역시 “보냄을 받은 자”라는 뜻입니다. 성경말씀대로 우리 모든 그리스도인들은 사도의 직분을 받았습니다. 왜냐하면 우리 모든 그리스도인들은 하나님의 일을 하기 위해서 보냄을 받은 자들이기 때문입니다.
Based on these understandings, all believers of Christ have already the gifts of helping and are appointed to be apostles. The other gifts told us in the reading from 1 Corinthians 12 are also given to the believers for God.
그래서 우리 모든 그리스도인들은 이미 돕는 은사와 사도로서의 직분을 받았습니다. 그리고 다른 은사는 고린도전서 12장에 나온 것처럼 추가로 우리에게 주신 것입니다.

Second, Paul told us that we are to unite together in Christ by helping each other. He made the efforts to unite believers in the Corinthian church. He used the story of the human body to show the believers of Christ how they were to unite together. Paul said in 1 Corinthians 12:12,“the body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ.”
둘째, 사도바울은 그리스도인들이 그리스도 안에서 서로 연합하여야 한다고 말하고 있습니다. 그리고 고린도교회에서 그리스도인들이 서로 연합할 수 있도록 최선을 다해 노력하라고 하였습니다. 바울은 그리스도인들이 어떻게 연합해야 하는지 사람의 몸을 비유로 설명하였습니다.
고린도전서 12:1 “몸은 하나인데 많은 지체가 있고 몸의 지체가 많으나 한 몸임과 같이 그리스도도 그러하니라.”

Third, Paul tells us we are to unite together with many cultures. 1 Corinthians 12:13 says,“we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body-whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free-and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.”In the Corinthian church, there were many diverse church members with different cultures, religions, and social positions. There had often been conflicts among them. Because they were so different. Paul taught that believers of Christ became one in Christ. He says in Galatians 3:28“There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”
셋째, 사도 바울은 서로 다른 문화 안에서도 연합하여야 한다고 말하고 있습니다. 고린도전서 12:13 “우리가 유대인이나 헬라인이나 종이나 자유인이나 다 한 성령으로 세례를 받아 한 몸이 되었고 또 다 한 성령을 마시게 하셨느니라.”
고린도교회 안의 사람들은 문화와 종교, 그리고 사회적 신분들이 각기 달랐습니다. 그래서 이 사람들 안에는 많은 갈등이 있었습니다. 왜냐하면 이들은 서로 달랐기 때문입니다. 사도 바울은 그리스도인들이 그리스도안에서 하나가 되어야 한다고 가르쳤습니다.
갈라디아서 3:28 “너희는 유대인이나 헬라인이나 종이나 자유인이나 남자나 여자나 다 그리스도 예수 안에서 하나이니라.”
To conclude, it is important that we do our best to unite and work together in Christ, that we use our spiritual gifts for others, and that we help each other to serve God and his people through our church. May God bless you and your ministries.
